Land of the Dead Review

I loved it!!! One aspect I really appreciated about this movie is that I feel that it really fits in with the other Romero zombie flicks. The vast time in between his zombie movies doesnt seem to have affected the 'romero-ness" of this one.
Obviously the effects, and production are much better, but I dont feel that Romero has compromised anything to make this one, and that is much appreciated. Not a terribly scary one, but lots of great feasting scenes, as well as a very cool sequence of the army of zombies rising out of the river. Dennis Hopper is fantastic as a complete asshole, I really liked his character, and have no complaints about any of the others either. I really liked the idea of the "ringer in the crowd" zombie that happens upon a bit more intelligence than his brethren, zombies being more purposeful is no doubt a scarier aspect to them.
I think I've watched this about 8 times since I got it about a month ago, like the old Romero's I just dont get tired of it, enjoy!!!!
