The Dead 2 ( India) is without a doubt a solid zombie film that offers blood, a clear story line and a few good goofs. Nicholas Burton (Joseph Milson) does a stand up job of bringing a sense of fear, courage and determination for survival to the screen. When Nick’s girlfriend Ishani, (Meenu Mishra) is trapped in both a familial struggle and by zombies in Mumbai – Nick must team up with a local orphan to try and navigate a desert and fields of swarming, albeit traditionally slow moving- zombies, in order to rescue his love. Some great kill scenes, near impossible physics, a minimal but existing amount of character development and a face shirking ending; it is still worth a watch.

The Ford brothers really did put forward a great amount of effort with this and the stars really do a great job of acting and expressing something that may of been a bit more lackluster on paper.
**Joseph Milson has a powerful scene expressing resolve and mercy shot with Madhu Rajesh
** Meenu Misrha evokes fear and hope, but her accent may have gotten in the way of the audience really being able to appreciate it for all it was worth.
** Javed ( Anand Krishna Goyal) performs a heart touching scene that is probably one of the most powerful lines I have heard in a Zombie film in a long time. ” It was made by hand, by someone who doesn’t make things. But they tried.”

The Cinematography of this film, especially the B reel stuff is something to be seen in itself. Hats of to DOP John Ford just for that.
