Petition To Save The Psycho House!

Herner Klenthur

Save The Psycho House PosterAccording to a new online petition The Psycho house is facing destruction and a group of nearly 3,000 horror fans have united to prevent this sad event from transpiring.

The petition on Change.org is aptly named ‘Save The Psycho House’ and they are trying to get enough signatures to urge Universal Studios Hollywood to repair the iconic building.

Through the years the Psycho house has had several upgrades going from a single two-sided façade to a four-sided building with the last serious building addition being a roof.

Since then the original Psycho house has had some lipstick applied in the form of paint over the years and has been physically relocated twice but outside of that it has been largely neglected for a decade according to the petition.

visitors to the house today will see evidence of warped, rotting timber… Gaping holes in the woodwork with large sections of missing planks of wood… Decorative woodwork damaged and some sections missing completely from around the porch… Shingles rotten, damaged and missing from the roof… All in all it’s not a pretty sight and if something is not done soon to help stop the decay, we feel it may pass a critical point of no return!

If you are a fan of classic horror and the iconic buildings that were featured in them it is time for you to do your part and save the greatest surviving movie set in the world… SAVE THE PSYCHO HOUSE by signing the petition here

Maybe the Hitchcock widow can start a campaign to save the house. Who built the house?
