Top 10 Most Beautiful Women of Horror

While Maven’s recent Top Ten Horror Hunks article was a big hit with the ladies of the site, I figured why not give the guys a treat and come up with some “Top Ten Horror Hotties”. There are definitely many roles to choose from and it wasnt easy. I actually recruited several HM members to give me recommendations for this list, so this isn’t just my opinions but a collection of our peers. Everyone on this list had at least two recommendations from the people I asked (except for one where I got greedy and added a personal favorite) and it turned out to be a nice mixed list of older names and newer names.

On a side note, we have many of our own horror hotties who frequent the site here at horror-movies.ca There is no disrespect meant to any of you if you’re not on the list. We love all you women for being really great people & sexy horror vixens and I have no doubt that you all deserve to be on here. Unfortunately the tough part is narrowing this list down to ten and leaving many great hot female horror roles unmentioned.

So here’s a list of the Top Ten Horror Hotties, complete with gratuitous photos and even a video. It was hard to find good quality sexy images for some of the roles, so I just enclosed some random sexy photos for some. Enjoy the list, and I look forward to hearing everyone agree and disagree with the list. (I’m ready for all the “how could you leave this person off?” )

10) Famke Janssen: House on Haunted Hill

This one is my personal choice, and I am quite sure that this is going to be the one that is probably disagreed upon the most and gets the “I can’t believe you picked Famke over so & so” but too bad. Yes, there may be some other hot roles out there but Famke in House on Haunted Hill had an edgy sexyness with a real life feel to it that drives me crazy. There is just something about her model body in that little red dress combined with that devilish & sultry personality that just gets me every time.

9) Jordan Ladd: Anything

While not a name that jumps right out at you, there is no doubt you have seen her being sexy in something over the last few years. With parts in Grindhouse(Death Proof & Thanksgiving), Hostel 2, Madhouse, Cabin Fever, and Club Dread she has been busy looking good all over the horror genre. She seems to have the spunky and high-energy type role down, but we have also seen a little more of her serious side. No matter which side she shows, there is now doubt that she looks damn good doing it.

8) Sheri Moon Zombie

The Devils Rejects While still getting her feet wet in the horror world, Sheri Moon Zombie has already left a hot impression on horror fans. She has looked great in everything she has done from The Toolbox Murders to Halloween, but her role in The Devils Rejects is her hottest work to date. She lucked out and got to play not only a sexy role, but a bad ass role as well. Never have low-rise jeans looked as good as they do when Sheri is inflicting pain on some poor victim.

7) Dyanne Thorne: Ilsa She Wolf Of the S.S.

Who would of thought Nazi’s could ever be sexy? One look at Dyanne in her commandant outfit and you will almost forget that she is an evil, hardcore bitch running a concentration camp. Never will you find a more sadistic beauty than Thorne plays in the Ilsa quadrilogy. Without her combination of ruthlessness & sex appeal, the Ilsa series would never have worked.

6) Milla Jovovich: Resident Evil

There is very little that horror video game adaptations have provided us….except for Milla Jovovich. I knew she was hot after seeing the atrocious sci-fi movie The Fifth Element, but once she started doing Resident Evil it sealed the deal. Putting her in skimpy outfits and strapping guns to her stunning legs gave her more bad ass sex appeal than I ever expected from a video game character. Shes got the perfect body mold for this role to be both strong and seductive. It’s a shame she was somewhat covered up more in part three compared to her earlier films. Did I mention even that her eyes are sexy too?

5) Janet Leigh & Jamie Lee Curtis

Alright a two-for-one with this as the mother/daughter duo gets combined. While having some early on-screen sexyness in Touch of Evil, Janet Leigh really showed up as a hottie with her role as Marion Crane in Psycho. She was one of the first hot female protagonists in a horror film. Janet passed down her good looks to daughter Jamie Lee Curtis.

Jamie Lee had many hot roles during the 80’s horror boom with films like Halloween, The Fog, Prom Night and Terror Train. Like her mother before her, Jamie Lee was able to add sex appeal to her strong protagonist roles which help her become the first real prominent modern scream queen.

4) Christina Lindberg : Thriller A Cruel Picture

Here is one from the exploitation world that that’s not quite a household name, so I was extremely happy that several of the people who helped mentioned Christina. I guess that’s what happens when you look as dead sexy as she does in Thriller: A Cruel Picture.

If you haven’t seen this movie, I suggest you do so as you will never find a sexier one-eyed, mute chick hellbent on revenge than Christina. It doesn’t hurt that her eye patch is the biggest article of clothing she has on sometimes.

3) Linnea Quigley-Return of the Living Dead

This is a perfect example of why I got some advice on this list because I have never seen ROTLD(we’ll talk about that later) so I would of surely missed adding her to the list. After hearing what people had to say and looking up some footage, she definitely deserves to be near the top of this list!

From what might just be the sexiest grave dance scene ever, Linnea delivers with what many horror fans believe to be one of the hottest performances in the genre.

Top 10 Most Beautiful Women of Horror

2) Cassandra Peterson : Elvira Mistress of The Dark

Theres no way to have a Horror Hotties list without the female horror icon Elvira. She turned a local TV host character into a national figure with her charm and wit, but also with the sexy Vampiress look and great cleavage. Theres nothing hotter than a tight black dress and Elvira’s was as low-cut as they come. Combine the dress & cleavage with the bee-hive hair and the horror make-up and Cassandra became the sex symbol of the horror world.

Top 10 Most Beautiful Women of Horror

1) Salma Hayek- From Dusk Til Dawn

This one is almost a little unfair because I think Salma is smoking hot in almost anything she does. However, rarely does one get to see a hottie like her do a wonderful strip tease while wearing a large snake right before she turns into a vampire and tears the crowd apart. Plus, never has someone made drinking booze off their feet seem so appealing. Dont believe me? Watch the video that George Clooney sums up perfectly: “Thais what I call a fuckin show!”

        • James June 2, 2014 at 12:19 am

Not for nothing friend, but they don’t make natural beauties like her anymore… Her features are flawless and honestly, she makes the rest of the woman on the list seem like girls … Or chuck meat, take your pick. LOL!!!
Women back then were WOMEN, not girls. And even though these females are of the same age they just carry themselves very differently.

I can’t believe you put Famke so low on the list!

This list is lacking some serious Barbara Steele action.
I love that you put Linnea Quigley here, though.

What about the Hammer horror beauties????

        • Tanja Duncan November 24, 2013 at 10:18 pm

Agreed. Hammer horror women were gorgeous, Barbara Shelley being the top beauty, imo.

        • David Ransom November 26, 2013 at 1:05 am

Yes! And what about Stephanie Beacham!

      9. Ann Hale November 24, 2013 at 3:49 pm

I’ll agree with Famke 100% but the lack of Danielle Harris is severely disappointing.

      10. Bob Mikkelsen November 24, 2013 at 3:53 pm

        Ingrid Pitt, Barbara Steele.

i love hitchkock, but Pyscho was not decent movie… the plot had problem… it starts with someone and finishes with someone else, and i can’t call it “creativity” or “innovation” , i simply call it bad plot.
because a movie’s story, at beginning (if you imagine the first movie ever made!) the story-teller was going to explain a certain point about a certain time in certain place, and acted by certain guys!
it means a story-teller explains “she did it, then she did that…”
so there is no place for a story-teller who starts his sentence by “Pooya went to university” and finishes his sentence by “but Alfred was’t hungry” ! because if the story-teller wanted to explain Alfred’s situation, he had to not explain the Pooya’s case!
If it was going to be a movie about Norman’s situation, why does he gives us irrelevant details about Lila?!… That is just abuse of viewer trust!
(I seen her picture and remembered my review about that film…)

Mike Jones November 24, 2013 at 10:17 pm

Must disagree. That was Hitchcock’s plan. To get you to identify with Marion, so that her death would throw the audience off-balance (the lead character, a big movie star gets killed?), so then you had to move to poor, innocent Norman with his crazy Mother. A brilliant move, in my opinion.

        • Becky Bishop November 25, 2013 at 12:43 am

You forgot Barbara Steele “Black Sunday”

        • David Ransom November 26, 2013 at 1:14 am

Agree wholeheartedly with Mike! The way the plot moves is what makes Marion’s death even more shocking, because we are led to believe Janet Leigh is the star of the film, and so we don’t expect her to die so early on! Even though I know the film like the back of my hand, it still shocks me every time…I seem to convince myself that it was all just a terrible nightmare, and this time I’ll see the proper story…but it’s never to be.

Psycho is one of Hitchcock’s greatest films. It re-invented the horror genre. It’s pure genius!

        • Tiago May 31, 2014 at 5:26 pm

You have a very wrong idea of what is the art of storytelling. What you said MAY be valid for a journalistic or documentary narrative. But as for ART, there is no such thing as sticking to the supposed point you want to make.
When we spend 30 minutes with a character and then she dies, it means something. It creates depth to her death, attachment. And that’s what makes that movie so good.
No question that is one of the best movies ever.
Sorry, but it is a lot of pretension to criticize that movie. I hope you’re like a kid or something, if not, I’m sorry.

      13. 00ghoul00 November 24, 2013 at 5:12 pm

My most beautiful is Sarah Patterson in The Company Of Wolves. But the most sexy is Natasha Gregson Wagner alongside Rod Steiger, Udo Kier, Kim Cattrall, and Casper Van Dien in Revenant. But the most iconic is Fay Wray!

        Audrey Hepburn.

      25. Midnite Marauder June 2, 2014 at 2:24 am

Famke is gorgeous. Agreed. Check her out in both The Faculty and 100 Feet. She has some of that timeless, age-defying beauty going on for her. For me, she was quite stunning in Deep Rising and had a Cindy Crawford 90’s look to her appearance in that movie.

As for omissions, Mathilda May is actually the first name that popped in my head. Hibernating space vampires? Yep. To preserve her hotness! Plus, the perkiest space boobs ever.

Speaking of boobs, Anna Falchi was a total knockout in Dellamorte/Dellamore aka Cemetery Man. A twisted zombie flick, she is “killed” off on more than one occasion.

If we’re talking space ‘beast-ies’/beauties, then I gotta nominate Natasha Henstridge as well for her alluring role in Species. Reminiscent of Mathilda May’s role in Lifeforce, except as a tall, blonde, “America’s Top Model” version. Didn’t look at all bad as alien Sil either.

Another blonde hottie’s name always comes up is P.J. Soles. She got “ghost-ed” by Michael Myers in Halloween. She had the whole California-girl look to match her sexy physique.

Then there’s Jenny Agutter, the sweet English nurse that helps David Naughton’s character out after being bit in An American Werewolf in London. Naughty nurse + sponge bath? Yes please!

A personal fave of mine, but lesser heralded is Judie Aronson. Who’s she? Check her out in Friday the 13th The Final Chapter, as super cute Samantha, but REALLY check her out in a much more obscure horror flick called, The Sleeping Car. She also starred alongside AND atop David Naughton in this feature — titillating indeed! She’s an absolute stunner IMO.

I’m also feeling all the Hammer horror women: Ingrid Pitt, Caroline Munro, Madeline Smith, Barbara Shelly, Veronica Carlson, Hazel Court. Oh yeah, they were some classic beauties.

A more conventional hottie for ya….two words: Jessica Biel. Never had a pair of jeans looked so good, especially being the only redeeming quality of the entire TCM remake.

How about Kate Beckingsdale? She does vampires pretty damn good, in both Van Helsing and Underworld. Very gorgeous. Both Vacancy and Whiteout were pretty decent movies too.

A fresh face, but a memorable one is Julianna Guill. Now forever immortalized for her scene in the F13th remake. An incredibly cute face and a voluptuous body; she’s a total dime piece!

Last, but not least Cerina Vincent. She is a very under-rated scream queen, well likely because most of her roles were in cheesy B-horror movie fare. You’ve probably seen her in all her glory in Cabin Fever, but she’s also done a plethora of other horror films in the mid-2000’s. She’s drop dead sexy with curves in all the right places, but what’s really great about her is that she’s actually very sweet, intelligent and so down-to-earth personality-wise. A pal of mine was lucky enough to meet her at a horror convention and tell me of his experience. A very classy & truly beautiful woman inside & out, no doubt! It would really be nice to meet her someday too.

        =) =) =)

        where is Danielle Harris

      27. DK August 27, 2014 at 9:06 am

I second Jenny Agutter for “An American Werewolf in London,” but not for “The Dark Tower.”

I can’t BELIEVE no-one else has even mentioned Britt Eklund (“The Wicker Man”). Best dance scene in a movie, ever.

      28. DK August 27, 2014 at 9:10 am

        Not to mention URSULA ANDRESS!
