Undying Love Horror Short

Undying Love Horror ShortUndying Love is a fantastic zombie themed horror short from director Omar Hauksson. The 11 minute short film is set in a post apocalyptic present day and shows the power of love as a man struggles to survive and find other survivors to help him fulfill a critical task for the woman he loves.

With very little dialogue Undying Love instead focuses entirely on using the environment and the directors talents behind the lense to tell the story. The combination of a great lead actor and a very talented director result in a film that is incredibly polished and a treat for any fans of the horror genre.

Undying Love is refreshing because not only is it a well shot production it also takes one of our favorite genres, the zombie genre and adds something fresh to it. Although many of the concepts in this short have been done before Omar Hauksson manages to twist things up just enough to bring something new to it. 2013 was a year filled with remakes and sequels and as good as this short film was its also a a tragedy to me that nobody has tapped this talented director to make a feature yet.

For me Undying Love will appeal to fans who enjoyed projects like 28 Days Later, Carriers and The Walking Dead. If you enjoy this short as much as I do be sure to share it with your friends.

While I haven’t watched this yet (it may be great), I really feel that apocalypse trope needs to be left in 2013, along with zombies and found-footage.

Zombies are real. They live among us today, apathetic non-voting, non-thinking, easily led, uneducated, reactionary, fearful and therefor dangerous! They are all around us!
