David Blyth’s upcoming film, Wound is set to hit UK DVD this October 24th via Cine du Monde and I have to say it is destined to be a cult classic, highly controversial and a very welcomed return from, David Blyth.
Anyway, the feature recently went before the BBFC to find out its fate for its UK release and it appears the board were having a good day as they have given the film an 18 certificate, fully uncut! Yep, the same BBFC that has banned and butchered many a film has been kind to us this time around.
Unfortunately, no word on a U.S. release, but hopefully a distributor will snap this one up soon.
Synopsis: “WOUND is a Supernatural Horror Film that explores the dark worlds of mental illness, incest, revenge and death. We follow Tanya as she searches for the mother she has never met – a mother (Susan) who gave her up for dead after being abused by her own father who remains stuck in her present life.
Tanya returns from the dead to confront and possess Susan with all her deepest fears and desires, sending Susan into a state of madness and gore filled retribution.
WOUND explores and confronts the dark, distorted supernatural world that lurks within us all.”
