AMC Looks To UFO’s For Thunderstruck

Chris Savage

Well, AMC hit it big with zombies. Their show The Walking Dead has been breaking records and has become a must-watch show, not only by genre fans , but by the mainstream too. The Walking Dead has become a beast all in itself. So, just what else could AMC bring to their network?

How about some UFO’s? According to Deadline, Paul Boardman and Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) will be making their first major steps into television with their sci-fi/drama project, Thunderstruck.

“Thunderstruck, an hourlong UFO project from feature writing/directing duo Paul Boardman and Scott Derrickson and former Battlestar Galacticaexecutive producer David Eick. Boardman and Derrickson will write the drama, about powerful and enigmatic entities that begin appearing all over the world. After one shows up in the town of Great Falls, Montana, the local citizens must grapple with the dramatic effects and growing mystery of repeated visitations.”

Will it take off like other AMC shows, such as The Walking Dead, Mad Men and Breaking Bad? I guess, we will just have to look to the skies and of course the web for more info.
