Monsters Sequel Scores a New Director

Gareth Edwards’ Monsters pretty much divided us horror fans, some loved it while others just didn’t like it. I thought it was a great flick and when I heard that a sequel was on the way I was ecstatic, but then the news died down and that was the last we heard of a sequel.

However, that all changes today. In Screen Daily’s recent “Stars of Tomorrow” publication, a little paragraph popped up detailing not only the title of the Monsters sequel, but also the new director and writer.

According to the site, Jay Basu (Fast Girls) is penning the sequel which is entitled Dark Continent, Tom Green (Misfits) will be helming the sequel.

That’s about it at this time, but at least the gears are beginning to turn, who’s up for some more Monsters?
