Kevin Durand and Robert Maillet Battle Demons in The Mortal Instruments

Some more casting news has just made its way in for Screen Gems’ demon-hinting flick The Mortal Instruments and it is sounding as if they have quite the cast on their hands.

According to Variety, Kevin Durand (Pictured right) and Robert Maillet (A Little Bit Zombie, Monster Brawl, Pacific Rim) have joined The Mortal Instruments which also stars Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower. Harald Zwart will be directing the feature.

The film is based on “Cassandra Clare’s bestselling young adult book series, the story follows Clary Fray, a seemingly ordinary teenager who discovers she is the descendent of a demon-hunting clan. Durand and Maillet will play Pangborn and Blackwell, an antagonist duo in the pic.”

Robert Kulzer and Don Carmody will produce while Bob Shaye, Michael Lynne, Martin Moszkowicz will serve as executive producers.
