MTV is Putting Together a Pilot for Scream

Jason McDonald

If you could invest money in Hollywood fads, I would tell you to move all your dollars into the TV horror genre.  Scream is joining a growing list of former horror movies  that are finding new life on TV.  What’s most interesting about this bit of news is that it’s MTV who has ordered a pilot based on the horror property.

MTV is hoping to have the series ready to air in Summer 2014, despite the fact that there’s no script, actors or director attached yet.  However, that could change very soon as Dimensions is in talks with Wes Craven to come in and direct the pilot.

What do you think?  How do you feel about a Scream TV series?  Would it work? Let us know in the comments!

These new show ideas are only coming about bc of the huge amount popularity that the walking dead has gained. Also MTV has a habit of harboring the shittiest programming that could possibly be shown on tv. I am afraid for craven

I tend to agree that a SCREAM TV show strikes me as WTF. That said MTV did have an awesome series called Death Valley
