From Dusk Till Dawn Series Starts Filming in October

With all the recent talk of horror movies being brought to the small screen, I don’t know how this flew under my radar for so long.  Thankfully Chris Savage is on the ball as he reported a few months ago that Univision and Robert Rodriguez were teaming up to bring a “From Dusk Till Dawn” TV series to their new English-language cable network “El Rey.”

Now there’s word from Production Weekly’s Twitter feed that shooting will begin on the project in Austin in mid-October.  Given that they plan to launch “The El Rey Network” in the early part of 2014, shooting in October will give them plenty of time to be ready for the launch.

There’s no word on casting yet or who will be involved in the production, though you have to imagine that Robert Rodriguez will have a heavy presence on the series.  With shooting set to begin in two months, there should be info hitting us soon enough.  Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted.
