First Official Teaser Trailer for Hellraiser: Origins

Chris Savage

First off, happy Halloween one and all! So, to kick off this glorious day, we have scored something truly awesome for you guys to feast your eyes upon. If you make your way below, you can check out the first official teaser trailer for Hellraiser: Origins, which is a proposed pitch for Dimension Films to consider from Mike Le Han.

Now, over this past month we have had some truly awesome Hellraiser related news what with Clive Barker writing a script for Dimension Films to reboot the franchise. But where does Hellraiser: Origins stand? Who knows, maybe it will never take off or perhaps Dimension will see this as a prequel leading into Clive Barker’s new vision. Then again, maybe not, and perhaps Barker himself is writing some sort of a prequel.

In any event, check out the teaser trailer below and let us know if you see potential here. I know I do.

      2. Lars Karlsen October 31, 2013 at 9:53 am

I love Hellraiser, but Pinhead without Doug Bradley, is a no no for me :/

      3. Larry Brown October 31, 2013 at 9:55 am

So this isnt the one barker is writing is it?

        • Chris Savage October 31, 2013 at 4:33 pm

Nope. This is just another pitch that is being sent out to Dimension Films.

I like hellraiser, as well but really this doesn’t appeal to me. Now if they did back stories on the various cenobities (spelt that wrong) and their transition to.their current forms ..that would be interesting. Also there was a book of short stories that ran with the hellraiser theme, perhaps they should have considered these as possible ways to attract a new audience to an old classic.

this one looks oke, but Pinhead looks not like THE Pinhead… but probably it will just be terrible movie…

      6. Howard Jones October 31, 2013 at 10:24 am

I think the film has definite potential might bring new life to series which it needs desperately……

      7. Jason Zaifert October 31, 2013 at 10:38 am

Did we find out the origin in the bloodline movie

      8. Joe Minicilli October 31, 2013 at 10:43 am

Looks lame. Since the Cenobites have been around since Hell began, they dont really need an origin story. And since no two Cenobites are alike, there could only be one Pinhead. He couldnt have existed from the beginnig, and his origin has already been covered An origin of Leviathon would be more interesting.

      9. Jim Van Bebber October 31, 2013 at 1:14 pm

The Cenobites haven’t been around since Hell began? They were people (just like Pinhead) who messed with the puzzle box and got what they wished for; pleasure and pain. I do like the Leviathan back story idea though. Although I always figured it was just another circle of Hell? Every Hellraiser has been garbage since Bloodline, Hellseeker was ok I guess. They need to scrap this and just let Clive do his thing.

for better or worse this is still awesome news. at least this is intended to be a hellraiser fil. not a film that had pinhead later on just to feed off a franchise

      11. jmann October 31, 2013 at 1:36 pm

pinhead added later. darn lagging internet.

        Wolf Phelps

      13. Nicholas James Reardon October 31, 2013 at 3:12 pm

Did not like his voice, almost sounded like satan from South Park.

      14. Robert H. Gwinn October 31, 2013 at 3:20 pm

No Doug Bradley = no Pinhead. “Orgins” ? obviously the creators of this film haven’t seen the other films. Hellraiser, Hellbound, Hell On Earth (Sucked) and Bloodline have given us enough back story to know that whatever this is, it isn’t in keeping the continuity of the franchise. I am hoping DB will sign on to do Clive’s reboot to keep the mythology alive and in the right hands.

      16. Justin Evans October 31, 2013 at 6:45 pm

Is this the remake Clive Barker was talking about ? Or is it a prequel ?

      17. Jessica October 31, 2013 at 8:20 pm

Not Doug Bradley, hate the voice. That is a no go for me. Stupid!!!!!

      19. Colvin Douglas October 31, 2013 at 9:08 pm

      20. Zack Hartzog October 31, 2013 at 11:40 pm

Idk about a Hellraiser without Doug Bradley

      21. Faith Rightout November 1, 2013 at 6:52 am

if it isn’t any good i’ll collect my dog’s poop in a paper bag light it on fire and throw it at the producer of the movie

      22. James O'Connor November 1, 2013 at 10:58 am

I don’t know where people are getting the assumptions of what hellraser origins will be about if made, there really isn’t enough information in the short to reveal that much…I actually worked on the project as the guy opening the box at the beginning (Frank) and as someone who knows what it’s about I can safely say it’s not a remake, it’s not retelling elements of the story that have already been told it’s exploring areas that have not been covered in the previous films and the script and artwork are more closely linked to the books than the films, just remember this teaser is what can be done without a budget and working around other jobs with the funding and time hellraiser origins could be better than you would expect.

The voice was shocking. Caricature of Doug Brady’s pinhead.

        • En November 2, 2013 at 6:24 am

          *Bradley (damn tablet autocorrect)

      24. Steven November 2, 2013 at 2:29 pm

        Please make this.

      25. Steven November 2, 2013 at 2:36 pm

Pascal Laugier, a big buget and plenty of scenes in hell. Make 6 of these. Lots of people have been waiting for the real deal Hellraiser to be made ( me included) with modern technology. This has the makings for setting the bar higher in my opinion.

      26. Douglas Alford November 13, 2013 at 3:12 pm

Insane amount of potential, I would love to see maybe predecessor like icon to pinhead that is not doug bradley (the pinhead we all know) with lead into the new hellraiser being written by Clive Barker. Yes, make this film please!
