Jurassic World to be Set 22 Years After the Original

Chris Savage

Jurassic World BiggerEver since the announcement of Jurassic Park 4, which then became Jurassic World, there has been a ton of speculation in regards to whether or not the film is a sequel or a reboot. While it still isn’t confirmed, details have come in that strongly point towards a sequel and I think many of you will be pleased hear what the director has to say.

Recently a fan asked Colin Trevorrow a question on Twitter regarding Jurassic World;

Mr. Trevorrow, every time I read something, it says JW is a reboot. Please tell us that its not a reboot?! Iā€™m going bonkers!

Trevorrow’s reply was short, but definitely satisfying;

Reboot is a strong word. This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park.

The film is set to star Ty Simpkins, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, and Chris Pratt.

Look for the film in theatres this June 12, 2015.

        A strange announcement, if the film is released in 2015 it is 22 years after original. Since its already been said that it wasn’t going to be a prequel, I could only see the benefit of an announcement if the film was going to be set in a distant future . Still looking forward to it, and praying its way better than last 2 .
