Official Green Band Trailer for Ti West’s The Sacrament

Chris Savage 5 Comments Movie Page: The Sacrament (2013)

Several days ago we ushered in the official red band trailer for The Sacrament, I say red band, but to me it didn’t come across that way. Either way, today we have now scored the green band trailer for the film courtesy of Yahoo! Movies, and you can check that version out below.

SynopsisThe Sacrament follows two Vice media correspondents as they set out to document their friend’s search to find his missing sister. They travel outside of the United States to an undisclosed location where they are welcomed into the world of “Eden Parish,” a self-sustained rural utopia comprised of nearly 200 members.

At the centre of this small, religious, socialist community is a mysterious leader known only as “Father.” As their friend reunites with his sister, it becomes apparent to the newcomers that this paradise may not be as it seems. What started as just another documentary shoot soon becomes a race to escape with their lives.

Look for this one on VOD this May 1st, followed by a theatrical release this June 6th.

This this suppose to be about Jim Jones or did they use his story as a base?

This looks good, Ti has a talent for dialogue and build tension, so it should be good, although it is nothing new, but look at what he did with the common plot of HOTD. About Jim Jones, it doesn’t seem to be a movie about mass suicide, but about mass murder and captivity. But it does look like the same kind of cult.
