Take an In-Depth Look at RoboCop with these New Featurette Clips

You know how remakes are, they are very easy to hate and I’ll be the first to admit that I always judge remakes before giving them a chance. But saying that, I’m just not sold on the RoboCop remake. However these featurette clips which you can view below to give you a better understanding of what is to come.

Synopsis: In “RoboCop,” the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex’s life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.

The film stars Abbie Cornish, Aimee Garcia, Gary Oldman, Jay Baruchel, Joel Kinnaman, and Samuel L. Jackson.

        I’ve already read some reviews (IGN, for example) saying this movie is too philosophical for an action movie. I hope american general audiences can put their mind to think for a while. Padilha seen to have a talent to make smart social commentary and still be entertaining… I hope US audiences can step up to it.
