Jen and Sylvia Soska, directors of American MaryWell my friends, it appears as if the Twisted Twins, Jen and Sylvia Soska have one very simple question for you… Wanna play a game? If so, these awesome sisters have a game lined up for you and it just so happens that it’s a freakin’ horror-themed game show! Yep, the Twisted Twins want to take you on a ride in their Hellevator, a psychological game show which will see Jen and Sylvia Soska pulling the strings throughout, so I hope you bring an extra pair of underwear. So, you guys wanna know more? Read on for the first details regarding Hellevator.

GSN has ordered eight episodes of a horror-themed game show called “Hellevator,” which will feature teams of three people facing so-called psychological terror and scary challenges to compete for up to $50,000. The logline: In “Hellevator,” a team of three friends rides a haunted elevator into various levels of an abandoned warehouse. One player must get out on each floor and conquer a frightening challenge in order to earn money for the team. But if they don’t make it back in time, the elevator moves on without them. Horror film icons Jen and Sylvia Soska, aka the “Twisted Twins,” pull the strings throughout the game – taking delight in the horror.

“The teams from Blumhouse and Matador have created a frighteningly fun and spooky game environment,” said Amy Introcaso-Davis, Executive Vice President of Programming and Development for GSN. “Horror and game enthusiasts alike will love “Hellevator’s” wild ride of fear, suspense, and unrelenting challenges.”

“Our company has always wanted to create a horror-themed game show,” added executive producer Jason Blum. “Hellevator” is a unique and new way to scare the living hell out of people and we are excited to be partners with GSN and Matador.”

“Hellevator” is produced by Matador and Blumhouse Productions in association with Lionsgate Television. The executive producers are Jason Blum (“Paranormal Activity” and “Insidious”) and Jay Peterson and Todd Lubin of Matador (“Lip Sync Battle”).
