Leigh Whannell has helped to shepherd in such modern hits as “Saw” and “Insidious”, but now the director and writer is set to release an entirely new film and it’s already got some critical acclaim riding behind it.
Whannell’s new film is titled “Upgrade” and is set in a future where biomechanical modifications are normal amongst humans. However, Grey is a bit of an old fashioned guy who is a bit of a technophobe, so he’s avoided those kind of things. Unfortunately, his plans to stay technology free are thrown out the window when his wife is brutally murdered and he’s left crippled. With the help of an advanced chip named Stern, Grey sets out to get his revenge.
The trailer below is Red Band, so it’s NSFW for work. It also gives away a lot of cool kills in the movie so . . . be warned.
