47 Horror Movies Recently Added to Netflix Instant USA

Herner Klenthur

Over the last two years we and our readers have become notorious at bitching about Netflix and saying how much it sucks. Well folks we have not been even remotely fair to Netflix. I for one may complain  I want more movies but I still have Netflix and have no intentions of getting rid of it.

Whats more ask yourself if we dont have Netflix what do we have? Amazon Instant certainly doesnt appear to be a serious competitor yet and HULU is awesome for watching TV shows but for horror fans what does it offer?

Below you can checkout a list of 47 horror movies that were just added to Netflix. It is worth noting I am listing every thing that was added in the last 60 days and I did not filter based on whether they are good or bad. So with no further ado here is the list and thanks to all the readers this week who sent us new release details as well as ASKED us to do this list.

      5. Sara Christopher Hayes January 4, 2014 at 10:09 pm

This list sucks. Ive seen them all. It seems like they never get anything new or recent

      6. Yolanda M. Macaraeg January 4, 2014 at 10:16 pm

        Right on, thanks!

      7. Michelle Torres January 4, 2014 at 10:18 pm

        thank you

      9. Mike Gomez January 4, 2014 at 10:26 pm

Don’t be ignorant Sara, of course they don’t get anything new. They don’t get anything until its been out on DVD/Bluray or VOD for at least a month. That’s in the contract they have. Why would any distribution company allow Netflix to stream brand new releases for $8/month? That would make zero sense.

      10. Donna Gonder Orten January 4, 2014 at 10:28 pm

Seriously? You keep me entertained with your posts :)

      11. Andrew White January 4, 2014 at 10:58 pm

      12. Björn Walwōn Wiberg January 4, 2014 at 11:02 pm

Netflix is looking better and better. Maybe its time to reg.

      13. George Gill January 4, 2014 at 11:06 pm

If you like the most idiotic, amateurish, low budget “so called” horror films, then Netflix is for you. I’m not a fan. I’d like to see more of the classics on there. Lucio Fulci’s Zombie, Return of the living Dead, Brain Damage, Cannibal Holocaust. Films like that.

          Horror-Movies.ca January 5, 2014 at 3:18 pm

I agree George on the classics but Netflix does not just have idiotic, amateurish low budget horror. American Psycho, Dead Snow, Grabbers, Event Horizon, American Mary.. I can go on… do not meet your description

        • Jennacide January 11, 2014 at 7:22 pm

Netflix also has a bunch of classic Mario Bava films… Bay of Blood, Black Sabbath, Kill Baby Kill, Lisa and the Devil… all are must sees!!

      14. Matt Johnson January 4, 2014 at 11:08 pm

Zombie Ass: Toilet of the Dead sounds like a winner, ha ha ha!

        • Midnite Marauder January 5, 2014 at 12:25 am

It was a complete riot! So true. But still dumb.

        • Michelle January 29, 2014 at 4:40 am

It was just…..awful. It had some pretty funny moments but it was so gross, my boyfriend thought it was pretty good though. Not sure what I was expecting with a title like that :) I would recommend you watch with a few other people just for everyone’s reactions :)

      15. Sara Louise January 4, 2014 at 11:23 pm

A few have been on there longer, like over a year, but nice list

      16. Mith Besler January 5, 2014 at 12:09 am

The Amityville Horror (1951) ??? Typo or are you testing to see if people are actually reading the list before bashing it.

      17. Bright Sarfo January 5, 2014 at 12:26 am

        Zombie ass?

      18. Cate Cameron January 5, 2014 at 1:07 am

I’m glad they got Grabbers, I’ve heard a lot of good things about it but no wide release here. I already own some of the older ones and as for the rest… I don’t think I would want to own but hell, I’d check ’em out.

      19. Joanna Mendez January 5, 2014 at 1:20 am

Do they have, Ghost town? I love that movie such a cult classic horror 80’s film!

I only have the british one. But love film has a far more extensive range of horrors in particular classic ones. There are often a few jems in the foreign film section too.

        • Herner Klenthur January 5, 2014 at 2:23 pm

Shame love film is not in USA / Canada.

      42. Kim W January 11, 2014 at 1:39 pm

Stalled was so funny. Some people like that sort of thing. Good thing about Netflix/movies…there’s something for everyone!

      43. Joel Rose January 11, 2014 at 3:21 pm

The Maniac remake has been on up Netflix for awhile. They seem to get a lot of the Magnet and IFC releases close to when the DVDs come out, and I usually find them worth a watch.

      44. Jacob Avery January 12, 2014 at 5:00 am

What are some good horror films to watch that are currently on Netflix I dont want to waste time watching the beginning of each or accidentally going over a good one for its poor rating

      45. Johnny January 12, 2014 at 11:49 am

Thanks for this. I haven’t checked yet, but are these watch instant or for rent?

If you’re waiting on Netflix to supply your Horror fix, you’re wasting your time.

        • Sandra Lovee May 16, 2014 at 3:28 am

At least they still have hellraiser. I definitely agree with you though. There isnt any of rob zombies’ movies on here, but its a 10 dollar fix when you dont have cable or dish.

      54. Kendall Hoffmeier March 12, 2014 at 6:54 pm

Sharknado is scary because it proves someone can make and find success with a movie that stupid.

      55. Shaw123 March 15, 2014 at 3:58 am

        What is this?

      56. Mike 33x3 March 21, 2014 at 6:16 pm

Sharknado was scary cuz they are still trying to make that dude from Beverly Hills 90210 look like he’s still cool.

      57. love pink March 23, 2014 at 10:48 pm
