47 Horror Movies Recently Added to Netflix Instant USA

Over the last two years we and our readers have become notorious at bitching about Netflix and saying how much it sucks. Well folks we have not been even remotely fair to Netflix. I for one may complain  I want more movies but I still have Netflix and have no intentions of getting rid of it.

Whats more ask yourself if we dont have Netflix what do we have? Amazon Instant certainly doesnt appear to be a serious competitor yet and HULU is awesome for watching TV shows but for horror fans what does it offer?

Below you can checkout a list of 47 horror movies that were just added to Netflix. It is worth noting I am listing every thing that was added in the last 60 days and I did not filter based on whether they are good or bad. So with no further ado here is the list and thanks to all the readers this week who sent us new release details as well as ASKED us to do this list.

Which on the list are your favorites? Which should we avoid?

  1. Don’t be ignorant Sara, of course they don’t get anything new. They don’t get anything until its been out on DVD/Bluray or VOD for at least a month. That’s in the contract they have. Why would any distribution company allow Netflix to stream brand new releases for $8/month? That would make zero sense.

  2. If you like the most idiotic, amateurish, low budget “so called” horror films, then Netflix is for you. I’m not a fan. I’d like to see more of the classics on there. Lucio Fulci’s Zombie, Return of the living Dead, Brain Damage, Cannibal Holocaust. Films like that.

    • I agree George on the classics but Netflix does not just have idiotic, amateurish low budget horror. American Psycho, Dead Snow, Grabbers, Event Horizon, American Mary.. I can go on… do not meet your description

    • Netflix also has a bunch of classic Mario Bava films… Bay of Blood, Black Sabbath, Kill Baby Kill, Lisa and the Devil… all are must sees!!

    • It was just…..awful. It had some pretty funny moments but it was so gross, my boyfriend thought it was pretty good though. Not sure what I was expecting with a title like that :) I would recommend you watch with a few other people just for everyone’s reactions :)

  3. I’m glad they got Grabbers, I’ve heard a lot of good things about it but no wide release here. I already own some of the older ones and as for the rest… I don’t think I would want to own but hell, I’d check ‘em out.

  4. Stalled was so funny. Some people like that sort of thing. Good thing about Netflix/movies…there’s something for everyone!

  5. The Maniac remake has been on up Netflix for awhile. They seem to get a lot of the Magnet and IFC releases close to when the DVDs come out, and I usually find them worth a watch.

  6. What are some good horror films to watch that are currently on Netflix I dont want to waste time watching the beginning of each or accidentally going over a good one for its poor rating

  7. Sharknado is scary because it proves someone can make and find success with a movie that stupid.

  8. Sharknado was scary cuz they are still trying to make that dude from Beverly Hills 90210 look like he’s still cool.
