A Scribe for Timecrimes Remake

Last week I had a chance to watch Timecrimes and I have to say it is a great flick. The only problem I can see occuring with this remake that might hinder any coverage is that it could swing into the very scifi arena. Be sure to keep an eye out for my review coming shortly.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Timothy J. Sexton will be adapting Nacho Vigalondo's Spanish-language film, Timecrimes. Sexton is well known as the writer behind Children of Men which is somewhat in the same territory this film is in. So I think this is probably a great match up. A good writer with material that is familiar to what he has done in the past.

The film is about a man who goes back in time only to mess up time continuum. So he must keep going back each time making things worse and worse. Magnolia has the rights to the original so we should see a small theatrical run maybe and then a proper DVD release.
