RIP: Zelda Rubinstein - HorrorMovies.ca

Zelda Rubinstein is well known as Tangina in Tobe Hooper/Steven Spielberg's Poltergeist. Her voice is one of the most recognizable and has often done voice over for "paranormal" television shows. She also had a fantastic role in Behind the Mask.

Unfortunately today Zelda Rubinstein passed away at the ripe old age of 76. According to the LA Times, "Rubinstein was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center about two months ago after suffering a mild heart attack," Eric Stevens said. "She had ongoing health issues and unfortunately they finally overtook her," he said.

Having left no family behind we offer our condolences to all of her close friends. She will always be remembered by horror fans for all of the great work she did within the genre and outside of it.
