Travis Malloy Adapting 'The Flock' for the Big Screen

It seems as if James Robert Smith's novel The Flock is moving ever closer for its big screen adaptation, as the guys over at UndeadBackbrain recently got word from Smith that scribe Travis Malloy (Pandorum) has currently finished adapting the script for the big screen.

At the moment a director hasn't been attached but there is said to be a short list of directors being considered to helm the adaptation of The Flock.

I'm guessing the film will stay truthful to the book, if so it goes like this; “a group of highly intelligent giant prehistoric birds discovered in the Florida Everglades are intent on protecting their ancient home when faced with encroachment by theme park developers”

Keep your eyes peeled as this one is sounding very interesting, it has been described as Jurassic Park meets The Birds, intrigued? I am.

What do you guys think?
