Oh how we love the Jeeper Creeper movies and the constant rumors of the third films release date. The latest Creeper movie has a name, a synopsis and now apparently a release date if you believe the scooper that just contacted us on an earlier post.
He states that Jeepers Creepers 3 : Cathedral is set to be released into theaters on June 1st 2013.
As much as I love the Jeeper Creeper movies and I felt the need to share this bit of news since I know I am not alone in my love for the films I am not holding my breath. He even goes on to say that his source is a member of the production team and that they are already planning a Jeepers Creepers 4.
Back in 2011 we heard that the film was shooting on the Universal lot when the creepers truck was spotted on the backlot and since then there has been absolutely no word what soever. Why are we even talking about this when the source is far from verified? Because I love Jeepers Creepers and I think I am not alone and perhaps the more we talk about this film we can help push the film forward and towards its inevitable release.
Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral is being directed by Victor Salva and will see Jeepers Creepers 2 star Ray Wise return as will Jonathon Breck who plays the creeper and Gina Phillips who played the surviving big sister Patricia Jenner in the first movie.
Jeepers Creepers 3 has ties to both the first and second film but also brings in a brand new angle as it goes back to the Wild West and brings in a Native American folklore angle.
A portion of Jeepers Creepers 3 will focus on the character of Trish Jenner from the first film who has a son and names him after her brother Daryly who was murdered by the creeper. Jeepers Creepers 3 will reportedly show off the origins of the creeper but segway’s into a revenge angle as Patricia Jenner sets out to take down the creeper and avenge her brothers death.

I’ve been waiting a long time for the third movie and that may be the movie’s biggest issue. The longer they leave the sequel the more people will lose interest.
I think at this stage they should have separate storyline that doesn’t try to connect to the first two movies.

I love The Creeper. Don’t blv I would ever get sick of him. Very unique monster. I’m more into supernatural thrillers/horror, but Creeper is so different that it keeps my interest for more.

Tried watching the first one after hearing so many positive word of mouth reviews but wasn’t impressed. Slow-moving and silly, if you ask me.

They better hurry they keep putting it off. By the time 3rd one comes out the 4th will be another 10 to 15 years to release. They took forever for this one.
It will be the most long-awaited sequel ever, and so truly offensive it keeps getting put off, especially as the excellent first two did so well, considering they dared not to pander to the braindead, boring slasher/’I see dead people’ fake horror drama angle. Sadly now a whole decade has passed and we have even worse horror wannabee fashions clogging up the cinemas-fake exorcism guff, cannibal bollocks pretending to be ‘zombie’ movies-whatever they are, zombies dont’ eat flesh, they are just animated cadavers to do a sorcerer’s bidding with no will of their own and no bilogical “need” for food and the worse ones yet, asbo-brat “horror” like ‘Eden Lake’, ‘Kidulthood’ and so on. Please get on with this bloody film, how hard can it fucking be!? Jesus, I swear they’re doing it deliberately. A hundred pointless ‘Halloween Jasons’ have been made in this time, plus ‘Saws’ and the ‘Scream’ lot will get another two before this happens. Roll on June 2013, but I’d say it’s likelihood of appearing is the same as ‘Jurassic Park 4′-i.e very bloody little, though I’d rather have ‘Jeepers Creepers 3′ even if it’s the final one.

it’s been good writting so far, the suspense it’s good it keeps you on the edge of your seat. the fx is great, the lighting has been awsome, they have it together. i hope the 3rd they keep the good writting, and the suspense, and the jeepers creeper song just adds to it, it;s great all around!
