Dark Trailer for Pakistan’s SIYAAH

You read that right. The Pakistani film industry is making it’s move up the Asian Horror genre (chill, Pakistanis are Asian too.) with SIYAAH, a “classic tale of a modern family haunted by their own disbeliefs and a skin-crawling punch of horror which will leave you squealing with fear and anxiety.”

With its best efforts to mystify and frighten us, I have to give credit to the filming cast and crew for giving its best shot on taking on an overused plot and splicing it with their country’s beliefs and customs. But does the trailer make me want to watch it? Maybe. Although, the premise and the idea that there’s more to Asian Horror than just Japan, Korea and Thailand, makes it interesting enough to write about.

SIYAAH, produced by IRK Film, is set to release this Friday, March 15 2013.
