Evan Daugherty to Direct ‘Ink and Bone’

Evan Daugherty, writer of films like “Snow White and the Huntsman” and the upcoming “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, is making a shift towards a new career as he’s preparing to sit in the director’s chair for his first feature-length film.

According to Deadline, Daugherty has signed up with Dimension to direct their upcoming film “Ink and Bone.”  The project is from writer Zak Olkewicz and focuses on “a female book editor [who] visits the home of a horror writer so she can coax him to complete his novel. She discovers that all of his creations are holding him hostage.”  Daugherty is expected to rewrite the script before directing it.

Though this will be his first feature-length film, it won’t be his first directorial project.  Last year Evan got some practice by directing a series of short films aimed at casting a gritty light on Super Mario Bros. characters. I’ve included one of the shorts, which you can view below.
