First Trailer for Guillermo Del Toro’s Crimson Peak

The first trailer for Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming film is here and it’s really swinging for the fences.  How many trailers tout the film as being the “ultimate masterpiece” of a director before the film is even out?  I know that’s just a marketing tactic to generate some buzz, but that’s the kind of line that throws up red flags.

But lets not dwell on the weird parts of this trailer reveal. Down below is our first look at Guillermo Del Toro’s latest horror flick “Crimson Peak.”  The film stars Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Charlie Hunnam, Mia Wasikowska, and Jim Beaver.

In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds… and remembers.

“Crimson Peak” is set to hit theaters this October.
