‘Lost Boys’ Star Edward Herrmann Has Passed Away at 71

After a year long battle with a brain tumor, actor Edward Herrmann has passed away at the age of 71.  The actor may be best known in the horror community for playing Max in the 1987 classic “The Lost Boys.”

However, Herrmann’s career stretches far beyond that as the actor got his start in Hollywood in the early 70’s and went on to star in such films as “M*A*S*H”, “Nixon”, “The Aviator”, and the most recent “Town that Dreaded Sundown” film.  He also had a successful career on television having appeared in such critically acclaimed shows as “Oz” and “Gilmore Girls.”

During his career in entertainment Edward was recognized with an Emmy for his work on “The Practice” and was even awarded a Tony in 1976 for his performance in “Mrs. Warren’s Profession.”

So if you’re looking for a horror movie to kick off the new year with, why not throw in “The Lost Boys” and pay tribute to Edward Herrmann one last time.  His talent and presence will certainly be missed.
