Official Trailer for Natalie Dormer’s ‘The Forest’
The Aokigahara Forest or the more commonly known ‘Suicide Forest‘ is most definitely a creepy place, unfortunately hundreds of people have decided to end their lives there and in turn, apparently a sign has been placed by official’s at the forest’s entry urging people to seek help. Body searches are a regular occurrence there as many continue to take their lives, It’s very upsetting.
But there has been talk of demon’s in association with the forest in Japanese mythology and in turn a few games, and films have been influenced by the strange location.
Most recently Jason Zada’s The Forest, and we have your first look via the official trailer which you can view below.
The film stars Natalie Dormer, Taylor Kinney, Eoin Macken, and Yukiyoshi Ozawa.
Synopsis: A supernatural thriller set in the legendary Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mt. Fuji in Japan. A young American woman, Sara, goes in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared. Despite everyone’s warnings to “stay on the path,” Sara enters the forest determined to discover the truth about her sister’s fate – only to be confronted by the angry and tormented souls of the dead that prey on anyone who wanders into the forest.
