Stephen King Announces Sequel To The Shining

Just a few days ago we announced that, Stanley Kubricks The Shining would be retuning to theatres, but only at the Dryden theatres in New York. However, that screening will be rather special as it features an alternative ending.

If you can make it to the Dryden theatre in Rochester, New York, then be there on October 22nd at 8pm.

Well with that little memory jog out of the way, the man himself, Stephen King has announced that a sequel to his novel The Shining is on the way. King has been working on a novel titled Dr. Sleep, however I’m a little perplexed how it makes sense, but, I’m sure it will.

Dr. Sleep “includes a traveling group of vampires called The Tribe which is part of the passage he read from.”

Below we have a video from the George Mason Awards ceremony, where King reads an excerpt from his new novel, Dr. Sleep. The video is fan shot so the quality is pretty bad, however a much better shot clip is said to be on the way.
