Tekken Revolution Gets a Female Vampire

The free-to-play fighting game, “Tekken Revolution”, is about to get it’s first original character.  In a recent fan poll hosted on the Tekken Facebook page, fans were given a list of ten new character descriptions and asked to vote on them.  The top three choices were then given concept art and were showcased at Namco Bandai’s Comic Con panel today.  Attendees at today’s panel were then able to vote on which of the three finalists would become the new character.

The initial pool of candidates was pretty nuts with characters ranging from a Salmon fish to a zombie bride.  Ultimately the three final characters were: “Sexy Female Tekken Force Character”, “Shin Kamiya”, and “Female Vampire.”  It didn’t take much effort to pick the winner though, as the “Female Vampire” was overwhelming the fan choice.  Not only had she received the most votes on the Tekken Facebook page, but she was also a character that the developers had been considering for quite some time.

So far Namco Bandai has yet to release any official photos of the new “Female Vampire” character, however, they did release some of the concept shots on their Facebook page.  Shoryuken was also in attendance and was able to get some shots of the “Zombie Bride” who came in fourth place.  Check them out below along with a brief history of the character.

A young female vampire that has been imprisoned in a wing of the Rochefort Estate, where Lili was raised.

She has a dark personality, but her gothic attire and uncanny beauty are mesmerizing. During development of Tekken 6, she was proposed as a character that used an actual martial art, but also with fireballs, like a 2D fighting game character.

However, aside from Harada, a strange phenomena occurred in which many members got married or gave birth to children around the same time. As a result, not many staff were left at work to complete the character, and she was discarded. The concept was salvaged again during Tekken 6 BR, but the same strange phenomena occurred again and Harada locked the concept away in a safe, wanting to keep it secured within the development team since it (she) seems to bring good fortune.

Namco Bandai expects for her character to be ready for release by Fall.  Perfect timing for a Vampire fighter to make her debut.
