Warner Bros Reveals $180 Mortal Kombat X Collector’s Edition

Want to drop nearly $200 on a single game? Outrageous, you say? What if they threw in a sweet looking statue? Eh? Yeah, now I got your attention.

Warner Bros. has revealed the four special editions Mortal Kombat fans will be able to purchase when the game drops in April.  The packages vary in price, but one might argue that they’re all pretty damn expensive. And, just like any good special edition, they’re being sold through different retailers with different content. Here’s how the editions breakdown:

The $180 “Mortal Kombat Kollector’s Edition” is available through Amazon and includes:

-A Scorpion statue created by Coarse and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

-In game gold Scorpion skin that replicates the statue

– The Kombat Pack which gives you access to four additional characters as they become available.  These characters include old fan favorites and special guests.

-Blood Ties Comic Book

– Exclusive Steel Pack and Steel Card

However, the same edition is available everywhere else for $150, minus the comic book and steel cards.  I’m not quite sure what makes the Amazon version an extra $30 more, expect maybe its shipping from across the ocean.

If both of those packages are too rich for your blood (like they are for mine) you can drop down to the $90 Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition which is available only through download and includes the Kombat Pack. For $5 more you can get a $95 Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition at Gamestop which includes an exclusive Cold War skin Scorpion.  Not sure what that means, but it sounds pretty awesome.

If you haven’t been keeping up with the latest Mortal Kombat trailers, here’s the newest one featuring Ermac. Also, let us know which edition of the game you’ll be going after.
