Only Government-Confirmed Possesion Chronicled In “The Atticus Institute”

Only Government Confirmed Possesion Chronicled In The Atticus InstituteThe Atticus Institute movie has been reported to be in post for almost a year now. So what’s up with the release and where the heck can we find a trailer!?! Well, call me superstitious, but perhaps things are being delayed as this story is related to real events based around one mysterious woman. She outperformed every subject they had ever studied which gained the attention of the U.S. Department of Defense, who subsequently took control of the research facility. It’s funny that now I’ve been searching the web in a frenzy to find the trailer for the film that was supposed to be released this year, I can’t find it anywhere and taken off several sites as well. Hmm. But here’s what we know on the real story. In the fall of 1976, a small psychology lab in Pennsylvania became the unwitting home to the only government-confirmed case of possession.

The U.S. military assumed control of the lab under orders of national security and, soon after, implemented measures aimed at weaponizing the entity. The details of the inexplicable events that occurred are being made public after remaining classified for nearly forty years. As  mentioned by SND M6 Group Entertainment, the more experiments they conducted on Judith, the clearer it became that her abilities were the manifestation of evil forces within her, prompting the government to take measures to weaponize this force. But they soon discovered there are powers that exist in this world that simply cannot be controlled.

Here are the full deets that SND M6 Group provides us:

During the late 1970s, hundreds of cases of psi-related phenomena – E.S.P., clairvoyance, psychokinesis, etc. – were studied at The Atticus Institute, a small psychology lab founded by Dr. Henry West. After publishing numerous journal articles highlighting the promising results of their work, Dr. West and his fellow researchers were introduced to an unusual middle-age woman named Judith Winstead, whose supernatural abilities tested far beyond any subject they had ever before witnessed. However, it soon became clear that Judith’s abilities were different in ways they could never have anticipated. Upon learning of Judith, officials from the U.S. Department of Defense were dispatched to The Atticus Institute to observe her, wherein they determined, after strict scientific study, that her physical body was under the control of an unknown malevolent force, thus granting her enormous and nearly unlimited power. This was, and to this day remains, the only government-confirmed case of possession.

Chris Sparling, who was the writer of Buried and ATM, is making his directorial debut with this supernatural thriller.  Peter Safran, known for The Conjuring, is the producer so this one looks super promising. We’ll keep you updated with this title once we find out more.
