The Pin Remake Begins to Show Signs of Life

Chris Savage

How many of my horror fiends out there remember the little 80’s horror flick Pin? I actually re-watched this one recently, and I have to say, it is still very much a firm favorite of mine, but what about this remake nonsense? Well, some early details have come in and it appears as if the remake is finally going ahead.

According to our friends at Dread Central, Jack Reher is adapting the flick while  Nicholas Bogner is set to direct. Apparently the search for a director is over, but we are still awaiting the announcement, apparently Pin is a favorite of his. So, keep those eyes peeled.

In the meantime, we have scored some teaser artwork below.

SynopsisMeet Pin, a harmless mute and lifeless fantasy in little Leon’s mind – a fantasy that initially took form when Leon’s father imparted life lessons to him through the use of an anatomical dummy. At first a source of amusement and comfort, Pin demonically evolves into the object of Leon’s mad fixation. Soon, Leon and Pin quietly but thoroughly eliminate anyone who intrudes into their private world.

Wow. The original is a great film but a strange choice for a remake due to it’s obscurity. Could be good, could be veeery bad!

Wow…. Couldn’t be more odd than the original I suppose.

Fantastic! I loved the film when I watched it a month or so ago, and have just bought the novel. I’m excited to see what they do with this.

For me, the original film was a disappointment. I didn’t like it. Funny, I want to be surprised by this news but I’m somewhat not surprised given all of these damn remakes that keep getting the green light.

Heck, maybe it’ll be an improvement… Shrug.
